skin care advertising campaign



The product that i wish to advertise is a skin product that cleans and tones uneven skin, the simple product has multi-vitamins to help your skin look even and fresh, in addition the product is dermatologically tested and proven ,therefore it won't damage your skin.Simple is the leading brand for sensitive skin in the UK and is part of the consumer goods company Unilever .Unilever owns more than 400 brands worldwide including Lynx, Radox, Vaseline, Persil PG Tips and Marmite.  Over 50 years Simple’s goal has been to formulate skin care products that are suitable to all skin types, this the company started in the 1960’s and was the first skin care brand to be created. Vaseline has similar advertising ideas as it tends to point out how there products will heal skin and that they are dermatologically tested and proven.


We wish to target middle class, teenage girls of any race ,as we believe that this is an age group that feels very self conscious about the appearance of their skin, therefore this product may make them feel more confident in there naturally skin,instead of covering up imperfections with make-up. Our unique selling point will be Selena Gomez, we will use her in the campaign as she is a very popular role model for this group and many teenage girls look up to her. We believe having her in our campaign will make it more successful due to her popularity and good reputation, furthermore she is also young herself so the audience could relate to her.

The campaign looks to inform by using the fact that ‘having clear and healthy skin was important to 81% of young girls , this fact highlights that it's not just you who is insecure about your skin. The product advertising campaign will persuade and sell by using Selena Gomez’s, if the audience knows she uses and loves it ,it may make them want to use it because she does. Additionally we will persuade are audience by using close-up of our chosen celebrity face after using our product,the lighting will be bright so it can show how her skin really looks and to give it and uplifting sense. The slogan for the campaign will be ‘this is natural beauty’, we decided on this because our aim is to make teens feel comfortable and confident in their natural skin and to show them that they are beautiful in there natural skin. The slogan is short and snappy ,which will make it clear and more powerful.
